VEHICLE EXAMPLES
Jake Davis received 2 felonies for registering two vehicles for street use as “Motorcycles” that are considered “Dangerous” by DMV because they had a 4th tire.
Here are some examples of street legal “Motorcycles” in Virginia.
The Viper Trike is essentially a dune buggy with a tire removed in the rear. Virginia defines a “Motorcycle” as having 3 wheels or less so any vehicle with 3 wheels may be registered for street use as a motorcycle. If the owner of a Viper Trike adds another wheel for stability, that owner will have committed a felony under Virginia code.
