Earlier in the day, Lawson Enterprises did a full inspection on Jake’s dune buggy and found that it passes a Virginia State Police inspection as a “Motorcycle.” At the Madison DMV, Jake presented the title, a picture, and the DMV inspection slip to ask how to obtain license plates for my Joyner 650cc Sand Spider. He was told to fill out the VSA-17A and put Motorcycle in the body style box. While I was filling out the forms in the seating area, the clerk made a phone call as well as help 2 other customers.
Jake had filed for Arizona title and license plates the Joyner 650cc Sand Spider’s through Team Joyner USA (the manufacturer). The DMV Clerk informed him that a Bill of Sale was necessary even though the Arizona title was already in the name of Jake Davis. She told him to return with a bill of sale and they would process the application.
Note the date of signature on VSA-17A was 6-18-09 but the processing stamp was 6-26-09.
On this visit to the DMV, Jake was going to get “LUV MUD” on the plate.
